Kieran Culkin’s wifeJazz Chartonmay have found the motivation behind his award season winning streak.

Culkin, who won Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in theJesse Eisenberg-directed filmA Real Pain, is a proud dad who has been vocal about his desire for more kids. On stage, the actor shared a hilarious story about his wife saying that she’d give him two more kids under one condition: he won an Oscar.

In addition to his win at the Oscars, the actor has sweptthis award seasonwith victories at theGolden Globe Awards,Critics Choice Awards,BAFTA AwardsandSAG Awards. Despite all the accolades, Culkin’s most important role is always being a father.

In a conversation withSing SingactorColman DomingoforVariety’s ‘Actors on Actors’series published in December 2024, theShe’s All Thatactor said that he loves almosteverything about being a dad. However, there is one task that stands out as his least favorite.

“What do you like about being a father?” Domingo asked, to which Culkin joked, “Absolutely everything except dinner time.” TheHome Alonealum added, “I love everything else.”

“It feels like nothing else matters,” he shared, describing what fatherhood is like for him. “I’m a dad now, and my only role in life is that. That’s real life. All this is lovely, but I’m just trying to get home.”

In conversation withE! Newsat the 34th annual Gotham Awards in New York City in December 2024, Culkin shared that his kids have never seen his and his brotherMacaulay Culkin’s iconic Christmas movie.

“There’s still some scary parts,” the dad of two explained. “For the 3-year-old, there’s the tarantula [and] there’s the guy at the end who said, ‘I’m gonna bite off all your fingers.’ That’s scary for a 3-year-old.”

Culkin then shared that 2024 might just be the year for Kinsey and Wilder to finally get in on the film’s holiday fun.

“We think they might be ready forHome Alonethis year,” he said. “If not, next year.”
