Krispy Kreme Has 4 New Doughnuts and a Returning Freebie in Honor of St. Patrick’s Day

Krispy Kremehas some St. Patrick’s Day treats and deals worthy of being at the end of a rainbow.
Starting on Tuesday, March 11, the bakery chain is selling four brand-new doughnuts in honor of St. Paddy’s and handing out some freebies, too.
The new goodies — the Pot of Gold Doughnut, Over the Rainbow Doughnut, Choco-Shenanigans Doughnut and St. Patty’s Swirl Doughnut — are a mix of filled and dipped baked goods, each with its unique spin on the Irish holiday.
The Pot of Gold Doughnut takes an original glazed doughnut, dips it in caramel icing and adds caramel buttercream and glittery sprinkles. The St. Patty’s Swirl Doughnut is also a glazed doughnut base but is dipped in white and green icing plus white and gold sugar.
The other newbie is the Over the Rainbow Doughnut: an unglazed doughnut with cake batter-flavored filling dipped in green icing and sprinkled with shamrocks and a rainbow. The last of the treats is the Choco-Shenanigans Doughnut. This sweet fills an unglazed doughnut with cream before dipping it in chocolate icing and decorating it with green icing drizzles and gold sprinkles.
The themed doughnuts will be available for a limited time, but on Monday, March 17 (actual St. Patrick’s Day), some lucky fans will get a year-long treat. Thousands of customers can score a Pot of Gold Pass, which awards them free original glazed doughnuts for 365 days.

While only a select few will get a year of free doughnuts, everyone can score a freebie from March 15 through March 17. Customers who come to bakeries dressed in green on those days can get a green “O’riginal” glazed doughnut for free.
