Maria Shriver Reacts to Son Patrick Schwarzenegger's Scandalous Full-Frontal Nude Scenes inThe White Lotus(Exclusive)

Maria Shriverpays no mind to her son’s morerisqué moments as an actor.

While attendingKeep Memory Alive’sThe Power of Love Galain Las Vegas on Feb. 22, the author, 69, reacted to her sonPatrick Schwarzenegger’sfull-frontal nude scenesin thelatest seasonofThe White Lotus.

“Mykidswere like, ‘Did you see that?’ And I was like, ‘No. What?’ " Shriver told PEOPLE exclusively, before indicating that she was only focused on her son’s face and never looked any lower.

“So that shows you — a mother’s eyes are always on the kids' eyes,” she continued.

InThe White Lotus' current season, Patrick plays Saxon Ratliff, the eldest son of Timothy (Jason Isaacs) and Victoria (Par­ker Posey), who works for his father’s company.

The rest of the main cast also includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Lek Patravadi, Natasha Rothwell, Tayme Thapthimthong and Aimee Lou Wood.

Reacting to her son landing his role on the popular HBO series, Shriver told PEOPLE, “I was so happy for him because he’s worked so hard. He takes classes, he’s really been grinding at it for more than a decade, and he wanted to work his way up — and he’s done it his way.”

“I think it’s a great moment for him, and I’m super happy for him," she continued of her son, whose other acting credits includeMidnight Sun, Gen V and American Sports Story. “It actually makes me cry. I’m so happy for him.”

Still, Shriver told PEOPLE that her son, whom she shares with ex-husbandArnold Schwarzenegger, is aware of the challenges that will come with acting and booking future roles.
