Maryland Prison Inmate Suspected of Killing Another Prisoner Inside Cell

A Maryland prison inmate is accused of killing another prisoner, authorities said.

Robert Warren, 28, was pronounced dead in his cell at the North Branch Correctional Institution in Cumberland, Md., on Monday, Nov. 25, according to apress releasefrom Maryland State Police.

Police said an autopsy determined Warren’s death was a homicide, however, a cause of death has not been shared.

Warren’s suspected killer is another inmate serving time at the prison, per the release.

The suspect’s name has not been released since criminal charges have yet to be filed, according to police.

“Upon completion, the investigation will be presented to the Allegany County State’s Attorney’s Office for review regarding charges,” police said.
