An onlooker in Vancouver told PEOPLE at the start of the event: “I think it’s great that she’s coming. There is a lot of speculation about them and their marriage, but this reinforces one thing to me, at least — there is no separation. It looks like they present a united front when it comes to matters they both care about.”

The couples dined at the Italian restaurantIl Caminettoin Whistler, according toTown & Country. Further hinting it was a special occasion, Meghan reportedly wore diamond earrings that were a Valentine’s Day gift from Harry last year.

Meghan is a huge fan of the holiday and evencalled herself “such a sucker for Valentine’s Day"on her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig.
