Miami Dolphins Punter Jake Bailey Marries Attorney Bailey Medeiros in Cabo San Lucas Wedding: All the Details! (Exclusive)

Miami Dolphins’Jake Baileyis married!

The NFL player said “I do” to longtime girlfriendBailey Medeirosat theWaldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregalin Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in front of 130 friends and family members on Saturday, March 8. Among the celebrity guests were Denver Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham and Miami Dolphins kickerJason Sanders.

Because Bailey’s family is from San Diego and Medeiros' family is from Massachusetts, anywhere the Florida-based couple chose to get married would require travel for some guests. So they decided it would be “fun” to have a destination wedding for everyone. They landed on Cabo San Lucas because Bailey’s family had a great time vacationing there in 2021.

Ahead of her big day, Medeiros told PEOPLE she was most looking forward to “celebrating with people from our two worlds, many of whom have never met, and making memories with friends and family who traveled to be there.”

The celebration kicked off the night before the wedding with a white welcome party where the couple’s “two worlds finally came together.” Bailey wore a black and white strapless ballgown from Alice + Olivia, and Jake wore white pants with a black short-sleeved, button-down shirt.

The next day, guests dressed in black or neutral colors for the “coastal neutrals”-themed wedding. Décor included white florals, and neutral and champagne accents.

“My mom and sister went dress shopping with me in Miami atChic Parisien, a dress shop I knew sold Berta gowns … I actually had a five-way tie when I left the dress shop,” Medeiros recalls. “I ended up choosing my dress because it was the one I couldn’t stop thinking about days later.”

“We both dream big and inspire each other in the process,” Medeiros says. “We know how to find comfort with where we’re at while also striving for more. We also never let each other face anything alone and always tackle problems with how are ‘we’ going to push through them as a team. Having each other means never having to endure anything alone.”

For her reception, Medeiros changed into her mother’s wedding gown, which was reworked into a short, strapless party dress with detachable sleeves and a bubble skirt.

“The process of remaking the dress was an experience I went through with my mom,” Medeiros says. “Though I live in Fort Lauderdale, I traveled back to Massachusetts numerous times where I then drove with my mom to New Hampshire to meet with Arnaldo Joseph, a talented dress designer who transformed my mom’s wedding dress into the party dress of my dreams.”

When they weren’t dancing to a live local band,Kilometro Band, wedding guests enjoyed a three-course plated dinner. An heirloom tomato salad with whipped burrata and sourdough was served before an entrée of roasted red snapper and seared beef tenderloin.

Dessert was a tangerine mousse with roasted pineapple, almond crumbs and coconut ice cream, as well as slices of Waldorf-Astoria red velvet cake.

Medeiros met Bailey — who is also a private pilot — in Boston in September 2019. Medeiros had recently moved to Boston and started her first year of law school at Boston University School of Law. After being drafted and moving across the country, Bailey had just made the roster for the New England Patriots.

As a former cheerleader for the Patriots, Medeiros was surprised to see on social media that a new player with the last name “Bailey” had made the team, so she decided to follow him on Instagram. Not long after Bailey followed Medeiros back, the two began dating.

In December 2023, Bailey proposed to Medeiros in front of their Christmas tree. Medeiros unwrapped her engagement ring, which was wrapped in a large box.

“We’re excited to travel a good amount this next year and then think about starting a family of our own in the near future,” Medeiros says.
