Millie Bobby Brown Says the 'Best' Acting of Her Career Had Nothing to Do withStranger Things

The 21-year-old actress appeared on the March 11 broadcast ofThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonand opened up about deceiving a nosey photographer before her wedding to Jake Bongiovi.

During the talk show visit, Brown told hostJimmy Fallon, 50, that she ran into a photographer on the way to her final dress fitting for her big day.

“I went into the wedding dress fitting and I put my wedding dress on. There was a big glass window, and I thought that she could see through it,” she said of the photographer. “So I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, she knows what my wedding dress looks like and then Jake’s gonna see it.' I was so terrified.”

Quick on her feet, she decided to try on a dress that was “the complete opposite” from the look she was actually going for. “I was like, ‘I’m gonna walk out and I’m gonna start fake crying, pretending that I found the gown.’ She got the whole thing and it sold. She thought she got some quality. Well, let me just tell you right now, it definitely wasn’t. I tricked you.”

Fallon then played a video that Brown captured of the decoy dress. In it, she wears a mermaid style gown with a jeweled detail, along with bedazzled glows. “This is my dress!” she dramatically exclaims as she walks towards a full-length mirror.

People can be heard laughing in the background of the video as the photographer is captured standing across the street with her camera pointed to the glass window.

“It was the best [acting] of my career,” Brown quipped of her performance.

Elsewhere in the episode, Fallon noted that Brown had gotten married since she was last on his show. “Jake Bongiovi, I love him,” the comedian said of her husband. “He’s the one of the nicest, coolest dudes ever.”

When asked how her special day went, she said, “It was perfect.”

TheElectric Stateactress noted that the weight of the day fell to the wayside once the ceremony began. “When I came down to me walking down the aisle, I was like, ‘This is real.’ And then I just threw my veil on and and when I went down the aisle, everything became so real and pure. Nothing about that was a production. It felt so beautiful. It was the most meaningful thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

Brown and Bongiovifirst sparked romance rumorsin June 2021. Theysecretly tied the knotin May 2024 during a “very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family.” Months later, the couple hosted alavish Italian wedding.

For the ceremony, Brown wore a custom Galia Lahav gown with intricate lace details. She paired the dress with a sheer veil from Monvieve, and kept her jewelry and makeup minimal. Later in the evening, she changed into a satin off-the-shoulder gown.

Bongiovi, meanwhile, opted for an ivory tuxedo jacket and black pants. He also wore a white shirt and black bow-tie.

Earlier this month, Brown spoke to theSmartlesspodcast about whether she is planning on growing her family with Bongiovi. She acknowledged that she is “really young,” but said she islooking forward to becoming a momone day.
