Mindy Kaling Celebrates Daughter Anne's First Birthday with Her 'Greatest Hits' from the Last Year: 'Love You So Much'

Mindy Kalingis celebrating her daughter’s first birthday!

On Tuesday, Feb. 25, the actress and writer, 45, shared a series of rare photoson Instagramas she honored her youngest, daughter Anne, on her first birthday. In the first photo, Kaling snapped a picture of Anne’s cake, which featured a lion and had “Happy Birthday Anne” written across the bottom.

Kaling also included photos of Anne from throughout the year, including scenes from her closet, spending time with family, being at the beach and getting a big hug from Elmo. “A year with our favorite banana, Anne Kaling!” the mom of three wrote in her caption.

“I love you so much Annie girl. Here’s some greatest hits from this major year in the life of the youngest Kaling kid.”

Alongside Anne, Kaling is mom to daughter Katherine “Kit,” 6, and son Spencer, 4.

Earlier this week, theRunning Pointcreatorposted another photo of her daughter Anneas she celebrated her special day. The mom of three, who’s notoriously private about her family life, shared the first photo of her daughter as a toddler via her Instagram Stories.

In the photo, Kaling’s daughter looked away from the camera as she clutched a stuffed lion plushy with two balloons behind her. Kaling added a happy birthday sticker to the post to celebrate her daughter’s big day.

Back in December, Kaling shared a Reel on herInstagramas shelooked back at her yearto welcome 2025. Kaling included a little clip from each month of the year, which included a video of herself pregnant with her daughter Anne in February.

In the clip, Kaling wore a hot pink button down and gray sweatpants, pulling up her shirt to display her growing bely.

“Bye 2024! You were so fun and sometimes stressful? But I learned SO MUCH and it was the last time I will use that medela pump on a plane! 😀,” Kaling wrote in her caption.
