Mindy Kaling Gets Support from The Office's Angela Kinsey at Walk of Fame Ceremony: 'Celebrating My Amazingly Talented Friend'

“What a wonderful day celebrating my amazingly talented friend@mindykalinggetting her STAR on the@hwdwalkoffame!!” Kinsey wrote. “Mindy, I still remember the first time I met you and how you lit up the room. I knew you were going to do so many great things!”

“Congratulations! So proud of you! Love you! ❤️🌟,” she concluded.

The first photo in the series was a selfie of Kinsey and Kaling, who was dressed to the nines in a black velvet dress and diamonds for the special occasion.

During the ceremony that morning, Novak — who is also the godfather of Kaling’s children —gave a speechabout his love for the iconic actress. She later gave him a shoutout too, saying he was an “important and integral part of my family.”

“Mindy respects and understands [fame] in a very intuitive way because in addition to being a brilliant and wildly successful showrunner, an incredible mother of three, a deep and caring daughter and friend and mentor to so many,” Novak gushed.

“You’d be on the walk of talent if they had one,” he added. “You’d be on the walk of friendship. You’d be on the walk of compassionate parenthood, but let’s face it all of these would be terrible field trips, so here you are instead, very deservedly, a person who means so much to so many on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Kaling’s kids latersurprised herwith a sweet gesture when she got home from the festivities. On her Instagram Stories, she shared a sign that her kids Anne, 12 months, Katherine “Kit,” 7, and son Spencer, 4, made her in honor of her big day.
