Shuefaub “Shue” Xiong’s red Toyota Camry was located on Sunday, Jan. 19, in Superior, Wisc., about 170 miles north of Apple Valley, Minn., where Xiong went missing five days earlier, policesaid in a news release.

According to police, a witness reported to authorities that they believe they saw the 42-year-old man in the vehicle at about 4 p.m. local time on Saturday, Jan. 18, while an acquaintance of Xiong’s told authorities that they spoke to him in Roseville, Minn., about four hours later.

Police added that “there is no indication that Mr. Xiong is a threat to others,” but “he is known to carry a firearm and has a permit to carry.”

“Given the cold temperatures and uncharacteristic behavior, investigators are continuing to follow up on any leads, as it is critical he is located and provided care,” the department noted in their latest release.

Police previously said in a statement on Friday, Jan. 17, that Xiong’s family first became concerned when he did not return home from his shift with the pizza chain on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

In aGoFundMe fundraiserlaunched to help with the search, family members said they were “heartbroken” about Xiong’s disappearance.
