Mom and Daughter Among Those Killed in Philadelphia Plane Crash as More Victims Are Identified

Thesix peoplewho were onboard the medical jet that crashed into a Philadelphia neighborhood have been identified.

Montoya was the pilot and Juárez was the co-pilot, Mexico newspaperMilenioreported, citing Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Meza, a physician, was providing his “professional services” on the plane at the time of the crash,XE Médica Ambulanciasaid in a translated post on X.

Two other people who were on the plane, Valentina Guzman Murillo and her mother Lizeth Murillo Ozuna, died as well.

Susan Marie Fasinosaid in a Facebook poston Sunday, Feb. 2, that she helped get the mother and daughter treatment for “a pressure sore that she had from her Spina bífida condition.”

“The plan was to bring them home to live out the rest of her life surrounded with love and with her adoring family,” she said. “Her mother was one of the most adoring attentive mothers a child could ever have. She literally never left her side.”

Shai Gold, a spokesperson for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, told WCAU that Valentina previously received treatment at Shriners Children’s Philadelphia and was heading home when the crash occurred.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the medical crew and pilots who were also lost in this tragic event - as well as all of the people who were affected on the ground - and we’re thankful to the first responders for their quick action,” the hospital said.

Jet Rescue Air Ambulance did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico said in a translatedpost on Xthat the Mexican consulate has been “in contact” with the “families of the people” who were involved in the crash.

The agency said they have been coordinating and collaborating with ground teams and officials in Pennsylvania and “other institutions involved in the research efforts.”

Parker said 22 others were injured in the crash, including five people who were hospitalized. Three of the hospitalized victims are in critical condition, she added.
