New GirlAlums Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield Playfully Shade Lamorne Morris' Recent Success at 2025 SAG Awards

Apparently,Lamorne Morrishas been hard to keep up with since hisNew Girldays!

“Man. Zooey, I gotta say, this, this, this is wild. I can’t believe this. You look amazing,” Greenfield, 45, said as Deschanel, also 45, replied, “Thank you. So do you How long has it been?”

“Gosh, I don’t know. Let’s see,” Greenfield responded. “We wrappedNew Girleight years ago, and so the last time we saw each other must have been, yeah, I guess eight years.”

Deschanel then asked whether Greenfield had seen or spoken to Morris, 41, since the series wrapped. “It’s been challenging since, well, you know, the Emmy,” Greenfield joked, referencing Morris' recent Emmy Award win.

“Oh, I thought you were gonna sayMen’s Fitness,” Deschanel playfully added, mentioning the actor’s feature in the publication last year.

“No, that too, but so happy for Lamorne,” Greenfield added, in a jokingly sarcastic tone.

Ashe reunited with his fellow maleNew Girlcostarsfor a feature inPEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive issuein November, the guys playfully ribbed Morris for his Emmy win. Johnson, 46, joked that Morris is the reason aNew Girlreunion series can’t happen, saying, “Lamorne won’t do it after his Emmy. He’s got an Emmy clause. That’s real talk. He’s gonna spin it right now but that’s real.”

“I look at it like reparations, what I’m due, you know what I’m saying? Hard work,” Morris playfully responded. “You know what I’m saying? Now, it’s time to pay the piper.”

Johnson continued, “Fox was ready, we were ready. Damon was back and [Lamorne] did that speech.”
