Nia Long Gets ‘Almost Naked’ in SKIMS’ New Shapewear Campaign: ‘Iconic’

On Dec. 19, SKIMS unveiled the sultry new campaign photos featuring the award-winning actress as the star of its next shapewear campaign.

Per the SKIMS’ official press release: “Nia’s timeless yet sultry beauty adds to the [pared] back aesthetic of the campaign to effortlessly elevate SKIMS shapewear collections. From viral seamless sculpting and plunging bodysuits, to barely-there string bikinis and shaping tights, SKIMS shapewear is showcased in its most alluring campaign yet.”

The actress, 54, who stars in the upcomingMichaelbiopic, isn’t wasting any time as being the latest face for SKIMS shapewear, either. Long represented the brand when she attendedthe opening of SKIMS’ flagship storein New York City on Dec. 12.

She made a commanding presence at the event alongside SKIMS co-founderKim Kardashian.

Long took to Instagram and posted two photos from the event. In one photo, posted on Dec. 18, the actress is seen standing next to Kardashian, 44, with a caption that read: “Boss babe@kimkardashian@skims❤️#skims#nyc🔥”

But those aren’t Kardashian’s only words of praise about Long. She also opened up about why theYou Peoplestar was chosen as one of the new faces for the brand in an official press release regarding the campaign.

“I have been in awe of Nia since the 90’s, so to have her star in our latest SKIMS shapewear campaign is truly iconic,” said Kardashian. “Nia is such a beautiful and confident woman, which was so effortlessly captured for the campaign. She looks so incredible in every single piece.”

SKIMS also showed off the campaign onInstagram, referring to its new star as “iconic.”

“Nia Long for SKIMS. The actress is iconic as ever in the ultimate shapewear for New Year’s Eve dressing,” the caption read.

As for Long herself, she’s honored to represent a brand that makes women feel beautiful and love every single part of themselves.

“The beauty about being a woman is when you feel good, you look good. Whatever stage of your life, whatever age, whatever size, we have to love every inch and own every part of ourselves,” shared Long, per a SKIMS press release. “I’m truly honored to be a part of this campaign. SKIMS has redefined shapewear with pieces that not only look incredible but also give me the confidence and support I need to feel my best.”

She also shared the photos to her ownInstagram, writing in one of the captions, “Almost naked with SKIMS.”

Long isn’t the only star to represent SKIMS in recent years. She joins a star-studded lineup of celebrities who have posed for the brand throughout the years includingTate McRae,Olivia Munn,Usher,Kim CattrallandCharli xcxto name a few.

EvenKathy Bates expressed interest in getting in on the SKIMS action, exclusively telling PEOPLE “Kim, I’m waiting. I’m ready.”
