Culpo and McCaffrey first sparked romance rumors back in May 2019, when the NFL player liked a photo Culpo posted on Instagram. A few months later, the two were photographed taking a vacation to Mexico together.

The model soon became a fixture at Carolina Panthers football games, and in November 2019, the pair made their relationshipInstagramofficial. Over the years, they have continued cheering each other on for both personal and professional reasons, including when McCaffey was traded to the 49ers in 2022.

The couple announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post.

“We tried to keep this quiet for as long as possible but apparently word travels fast,” Culpo wrote. “I’m marrying my best friend, I love you so much, fiancé.”

April 17, 2023: Olivia Culpo opens up about being engaged to Christian McCaffrey

Culpo spoke to PEOPLE about what it’s like to be engaged. “I’m so excited,” she said in an exclusive interview. “It’s been the thrill of a lifetime, honestly.”

A few days later, during an Amazon Live, she told fans that wedding planning is well underway.

June 29, 2024: Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey get married

The coupleexchanged vows at a chapel in Rhode Island. Culpo explained toVoguethat McCaffrey’s one request was to get married in a church. “That was our number one priority,” she told the outlet.

Culpo walked down the aisle in a custom Dolce & Gabbana dress that the model described as “timeless, covered and elegant.” She paired the gown with a 16-foot lace veil.
