Pamela Andersoncontinues to epitomize elegance.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, the actress and activist, 57, proved simple can be chic in a navy blue velvet wrap gown at the 2024 IndieWire Awards in New York City.

The gown featured lapels, flared sleeves and a short train. Continuing her makeup-free streak, theBaywatchalum arrived fresh-faced and opted for no jewelry.

Anderson, who is starring in the upcomingThe Last Showgirl, posed with the film’s director Gia Coppola, writer Kate Gersten and costar Brenda Song.

On the red carpet, she spoke to PEOPLE exclusively about wearing makeup for the film amid her recent fresh-faced lifestyle.

“I mean — I wear — I love to wear makeup too sometimes,” Anderson shared. “It has a time and a place. I just feel in my personal life, it just didn’t really make sense.”

The star also said that for her, beauty means “being brave and living your dreams. It’s never too late.”
