New light is being shed on Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff’s life followingher tragic death at age 62.
Terry Ahern, Pamela’s longtime friend who worked as her representative for several years, tells PEOPLE that his late friend was “the kindest person you’d ever meet,” and she never gave him any indication she was struggling with her mental health.
“She was the last person in the world I would think [would do that],” Ahern says when asked if Pamela was experiencing depression or suicidal thoughts that he knew of. “It’s a shock.”
The last time he spoke to her was a few months ago, he says, and she was gushing abouther new granddaughter, London, who her daughter Taylor, 34, welcomed in August withher husband Madison Fiore. “Oh, [she was] just [saying] how she was just over the moon being a grandmother — over the moon,” Ahern says. “She was so excited.”

Ahern, who worked with her from 2012 to 2023, says Pamela “had so many friends” and “people loved her to death.” He adds, “She loved people. She loved animals.”
In the wake of her shocking death, he says, “The sad thing is, when you love somebody and you know them and this happens, the first thing you think about is — they had all that built up inside and I couldn’t see it. I mean, that must be so horrible to be walking around with that.”
“Pamela stood for kindness, sweetness, and love, plain and simple. She loved animals and people and cherished her family,” he adds. “If you needed help, she was the first to respond. Her big smile and laugh will forever leave an impression on our hearts.”
