Bohrer, who is also known for her reading recommendations, told the outlet, “It actually started in quarantine. I was super bored, not really talking to anyone. I was reading a lot because I had nothing better to do. And I was just like, I need to talk about the books I’m reading with people… I saw like two TikToks about books and was like, ‘I could totally do that from my room.’ ”
The former Arizona State University student also spoke about the criticism she receives online. “I’m pretty sensitive … The biggest challenge is accepting the fact that not everyone is going to like you… I want everyone to like me and I’m such a people pleaser… I don’t want to offend anyone.”
