Podcaster Deletes Justin Baldoni Episode After Blake Lively Allegations: 'Every Form of Abuse Should Be Called Out'

A podcaster who recently interviewedJustin Baldonihas removed his episode in light ofBlake Lively’ssexual harassment complaintfiled against him.

On Tuesday, Dec. 24,Elizabeth Day, who hosts the podcastHow to Fail, shared a statement onInstagramin which she wrote she decided “to remove the recentHow to Failinterview with Justin Baldoni from all platforms while the distressing allegations made against him in Blake Lively’s recent [filing] are fully investigated.”

“Every individual has a right to a safe workplace. Every woman has the right to dignity in that workplace,” wrote Day, a British author. “Every form of abuse should be called out and I salute the individuals who have the courage to do so.”

Baldoni appeared on the Dec. 4 episode of Day’s podcast, where he opened up aboutreceiving an ADHD diagnosis at age 40and said he “had a near breakdown” while directing and starring inIt Ends With Us, the romantic-drama movie at the center of the legal complaint Lively, 37, filed against Baldoni on Dec. 20.

Lively filed her complaint months afterrumors of behind-the-scenes discordbetween her and Baldoni began emerging in August. Sheallegedthat during the production,Baldoni exhibited “disturbing" and “unprofessional” behavior on set, then allegedlydeployed a retaliatory smear campaign against her.

Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman called Lively’s allegations “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt” him inan initial statementshared Dec. 21.

In a statement Lively shared withThe New York Timeswhen the outlet reported on her complaint Dec. 21, the actress said, “I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.”

“We all deserve better, and I know that together, we can create it. I will have more to share soon as I continue to process everything that has happened,” Plank said. “In the meantime, I will continue to support everyone who calls out injustice and holds the people standing in their way accountable.”
