Pregnant Mom of 3 Allegedly Kidnapped by Ex-Boyfriend Killed by Vehicle After Trying to Jump Out of His Car

A Mississippi man has been charged in the killing of his pregnant ex-girlfriend after allegedly kidnapping her last month.

Andrews has been charged with capital murder and possessing a firearm as a felon,Madison County Sheriff Randy Tuckersaid on Jan. 28. He also faces a first-degree murder charge, according to local jail records;the Clarion Ledger reportsthis was related to Jackson’s unborn child.

“This is a heinous crime that shocks the conscience of society and Andrews will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law," he said in his statement.

It wasn’t clear if the driver of the vehicle that allegedly hit Jackson is facing any charges. Neither Tucker nor March immediately responded to PEOPLE’s request for further information.

Plea and attorney information for Andrews was not immediately available.
