Rachael Ray’s trick to not letting the haters get to her is to not even listen to them.The celebrity chef talked to herreal-life friendand Food Network starAnne Burrellabout bad press on the Dec. 3 episode ofRay’s podcast,I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.“Do you ever think about the way people think about you? I don’t,” Ray, 56, said, adding that she “never look[s] at anything” being said about her. “I’m, like, afraid to, quite frankly," she added.“There was a site called ‘I Hate Rachael Ray’ for years, and I’m like, well, at least they’re watching,” Ray recalled. “I remember that!” Burrell, 55, answered, laughing. “Who would take the time to do that? F—— loser.”But the harsh website didn’t weigh on Ray: “I loved it. And why does it have to feel like a novel concept to have a woman that is all of those kind of things?”This paradox even influences how Burrell dresses for work. “This is also the reason why I wear skirts in the kitchen. It was a way always to sort of maintain my femininity. Yeah. I’m a bad— girl chef — and I own that, and I love that — but I’m also a woman,” she explained.
