Robert Pattinsonisn’t used to having so many male fans.

When the actor, 38, attended the world premiere of his new movieMickey 17on Feb. 13 in London, he told Associated Press reporter Sian Watson he was surprised to see so many men showing up for him at the event, in a video Watson shared onInstagram.

“It’s quite strange — there’s, like, a bunch of guys, which is a new one for me,” Pattinson joked.

The star rose to fame as a co-lead Edward Cullen oppositeKristen Stewartin theTwilightsaga, the popular vampire-romance franchise known for its passionate, mostly female audience.

In the years sinceTwilightwrapped with 2012’sBreaking Dawn - Part 2, Pattinson reinvented his career with roles in movies likeGood Time,The Lighthouse,Tenetand, more recently,The Batman.

Pattinson will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Batman, in aThe Batmansequel, currently scheduled for release in 2027, and he’ll star inThe Odyssey, which will reunite him withTenetdirectorChristopher Nolan.

Pattinson stars with Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo inMickey 17, director Bong Joon Ho’s latest sci-fi movie. Pattinson portrays a man named Mickey Barnes, who is re-generated through a human-printing process each time he dies to return to his dangerous jobs.

Mickey 17is in theaters March 7.
