Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Will Not Attend 2025 Golden Globes: Report

Ryan ReynoldsandBlake Livelywill be sitting out of the 2025Golden Globes.

The couple will not be attending the annual awards ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 5 amid Lively’slegal battle with herIt Ends With Uscostar and directorJustin Baldoni, according toDeadline.

Reynolds, 48, and hisDeadpool & WolverinecostarHugh Jackmanare nominated in the cinematic and box office achievement category at this year’s ceremony. Jackman, 56, will also not attend, per Deadline.

Sources told the outlet that the three actors’ decision not to attend the ceremony was made “well in advance” of Lively’s complaint filing and ongoing legal battle with Baldoni, 40.

Lively, 37, filed a complaint against Baldoni and his associates,alleging sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaignto tarnish her reputation, in December 2024.

Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman called the claims “false,” and the actorfiled a $250 million lawsuit againstThe New York Timeson Dec. 31over the newspaper’s articleabout Lively’s complaint. (A spokesperson forTheTimessaid its story “was meticulously and responsibly reported.")

Golden Globes hostNikki Glaserrecently confirmed that she will not make jokes about Lively’s legal fight with Baldoni during the ceremony, nor will she mention the topic.

“I think the Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be,” Glaser, 40, toldYahoo! Entertainment.

“I also don’t want to give his name any — I’m mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don’t need to say it anymore,” she added.

A source recently told PEOPLE that Lively is “ready to tackle” her legal battle with Baldoni.

“She enjoyed the holidays and very much tries to live in the moment right now,” the insider said. “She still believes she’s doing the right thing. She’s ready to tackle whatever comes her way.”

The 82nd annual Golden Globes will air live on Sunday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
