Ryan Reynolds Celebrates BFF Hugh Jackman's N.Y.C. Concert Series After Making a Surprise Appearance: 'This Fella Puts on a Show'

On Jan. 25, Reynolds shared a series of Instagram Stories posts commending hisDeadpool & Wolverinecostar for his “immersive” stage presence.

“This fella puts on a show. I had no idea he could sing and dance. I knew he could stab and grunt,” Reynolds wrote in a first post, poking fun at Jackman’s starring role as Wolverine in various Marvel projects.

“The show is an immersive retrospective and jamboree of feeling, giggles and joy,” Reynolds continued.

He then added that Jackman’s tribute during the show to Gus Worland and hisGotcha4Life Foundationresulted in “not on dry eye in the house.”

Reynolds watched the show withShawn Levy. In another Instagram Stories post, thefather of fourshared a selfie of himself and the actor-filmmaker taken during the show.

“I give it [the show] 4.9 stars out of 5 because I was told there’d be a car chase,” Reynolds concluded.

Reynolds also captured a photo of Jackman rocking out front and center on stage against a technicolor backdrop in a third Instagram Stories post.

The star surprised the audience during the show’simpromptu “Hugh & A” session. Reynolds initially claimed that he expectedFrom New York, with Loveto be “a comedy version ofLes Misas a one-man show.”

“He showed a kind of courtesy and gentleness and curiosity, and he put value into every single crew member that we were working with,” Reynolds explained.
