The couple walked the red carpet at the2025 BAFTAs at Royal Festival Hall in London on Feb. 16. Ronan wore a custom Louis Vuitton mint green gown with a matching cape that she wore draped around her shoulders. She kept the rest of her look simple, accessorizing with classic earrings and a bold red lip.

Lowden complemented her, keeping it classic in a black Dior tux with a white button-down shirt and a black bow tie.

TheLittle Womanactresstied the knot with the Scottish actorin a secret ceremony last summer in Edinburgh, Scotland. The couple has largely kept their relationship under wraps and out of the spotlight, though they’ve stepped out for a red carpet here and there.

During the couple’s small intimate wedding, “all the guests were sworn to secrecy” during the ceremony, which occurred at Edinburgh Central Registrar’s Office, located at the City Chambers, according to theIrish Independent.

Lowden was asked about his relationship with Ronan in an interview withES Magazinein 2019, but he declined to comment, saying, “Oh I’m not going to talk about that. I don’t like talking about that side of life.”

Lowden and Ronan costarred together in the 2018 dramaMary Queen of Scotswhere Lowden played the Lord Darnley to Ronan’s Mary Stuart.

While promoting the movie in December 2018, Lowden praised Ronan during a panel withAOL, saying, “It was remarkable working with Saoirse.”

“The woman is a force of nature on and off screen and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well. For being 24 years old, it’s just constantly amazing to me, not just her work but how she is on a set is amazing,” he continued gushing over Ronan.

In an interview with PEOPLE in 2022, Ronan said that she and Lowden “have very similar tastes.”

“So I completely trust his eye,” she added at the time. “And I know when he says something’s working, it really is, because he doesn’t ever sugarcoat anything. So I think that really helps, having someone that you really trust. And he’s a sort of typical Scot, where if there’s a problem, he’s the first one to try and solve it.”

Ronan and Lowden first sparked engagement rumors when the actress stepped out with a diamond ring on her left hand at the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Spring-Summer 2024 show in October 2023.

The duo’s first official appearance as a married couple was at ​​the76th Emmy Awardswhere they walked together in coordinating blue outfits, in September 2024.
