Warning: This post contains spoilers from the latest episode ofThe Masked Singer.
She might be good as gold, butScheana Shaywon’t be bringing home the Golden Mask trophy onThe Masked Singerseason 13.
TheVanderpump Rulesalum, 39, made her debut a Bat on the Fox signing competition’s Voices of Olympus night on Wednesday, March 5, going up against Boogie Woogie, Griffin, Space Ranger and Pearl. Shay sangSabrina Carpenter’s hit “Espresso,” and judgesKen Jeong,Jenny McCarthy,Rita OraandRobin Thickesuspected she might be Real HousewivesBethenny Frankel,Larsa PippenorLisa Rinna.
“Everyone they guessed me as was a compliment, and [they’re] all people I’m either fans or friends of, so I loved the guesses,” Shay tell PEOPLE. “If I would’ve made it onto the second episode, I feel like they might’ve guessed me because there were more clues in that package that I felt like were so obvious.”
The “Good as Gold” singer, who shares 3-year-old daughterSummer Moonwith husbandBrock Davies, ultimately received the fewest votes from the judges and studio audience and unmasked at the end of the March 5 episode. Shay has been on Bravo since 2013, but doing a competition show “was a first for me,” she says. “I’m like, ‘Wait, how many viewers do we have?’ It’s a lot. It’s more thanVPR. So that was a little intimidating, but also, I’m in a mask, and if people want to say whatever they do, I’m used to that. I had fun.”

Is Summer Moon a fan ofThe Masked Singer?I’ve watched the show with her this season, and it’s a fun show for kids to watch. I didn’t bring her to set. I wanted to, and honestly, if I made it further, I might’ve brought her the second day. But I’m like, then what if she goes to school and she’s telling her friends. But it was around Halloween, so I’m like, they would probably just think like, “Oh, yeah. Mommy dressed up as a bat.” But yeah, so I’m excited for her to just be able to watch it tonight with our friends and family, and to see me take it off. And she’ll be so excited.

Do you have any guesses for anyone remaining on the show? No, I am terrible at this. Every episode I’ve watched, I’m like, “No clue.” The year thatVanessa Hudgenswon, my sister was like, “Oh, Vanessa Hudgens.High School Musical.” For me, I’m like, “Wow, you have an incredible voice.” And I even remember being backstage and hearing Griffin perform, and I’m like, “Who is this man? He’s so good.” So I’m just as excited as everyone else for all of them to get unmasked, because I have no clue. I would be a terrible judge on that show. I could never be hired.

The judges suspected you could be a few different Housewives. Would you consider going the Housewives route now that Bravo has rebootedVanderpump Rules?I would never say no. I don’t know if that’s the place for me yet. Maybe eventually. I did have the smallest cameo last night onBeverly Hills, so you never know. But I love being a part of the Bravo-verse and I hope to continue in this world for a very long time.

Can you tease how you’ll be involved withThe Valleyseason 2?You never know what you’re going to see. You know what you film and then you never know what’s going to air, so it’ll be a surprise to me. But I did hang out with my friends inThe Valleya lot this past summer, so I’m excited to see what comes of that.

Who are you closest to right now fromVanderpump Rules?Definitely Lala [Kent]. We’re together all of the time. Our girls go to school together, they dance together, they do everything together. They’re like sisters. I hang out with Ally [Weber] all of the time. [Tom] Schwartz and I are still really close. What’s next for you afterThe Masked SingerandVanderpump Rules? My book, it’s out July 22. It’s available forpre-order right now. That was me taking another chance, being vulnerable, putting my full self out there for the world, and hopefully the result is great. Hopefully Bat and Scheana Shay are more understood after these.
