Sean Pennand Valeria Nicov are going public with their romance.

Penn wore a smart suit and tie for the occasion as Nicov looked glamorous in a black draped gown with her dark hair worn in a top knot.

TheOscar winnerwas being honored at the festival on the second day of the event for his successful career as an actor and director. And he took the opportunity to ask the audience “to be as politically incorrect as their heart desires,” perVariety.

“For those of you with any familiarity with me and what has been my life, you’ll understand that I don’t often miss the opportunity to say an opinion," he said, per the outlet.

He continued: “Around the world [there is] this demand for diversity — but not diversity of behavior and not diversity of opinion or language. I would just encourage everybody to engage diversity and to keep telling those stories.”

Penn’s new romance comes afterhe revealed in Junethat he was “thrilled every day” to be single.
