Sebastian Roché and Alicia Hannah-Kim ‘Completely Forgot’ Their 10th Wedding Anniversary: 'We're Terrible' (Exclusive)

Sebastian Roché and Alicia Hannah-Kim are not really big on anniversaries.

The couple, who have been together for 11 years, tells PEOPLE that 2024 was a year of “constant travel” for them both, as Roché, 60, was between Mexico City and Texas for a Netflix series and1923season 2and Hannah-Kim, 37, was in Atlanta forCobra Kaiand then Seoul for an upcoming K-drama.

“[We] barely saw each other all year,” Hannah-Kim says. “We were FaceTime married.”

“We completely forgot,” Roché admits. “We were so busy that we completely [forgot].”

“We’re not the kind of couple that has a 2-week [rule for] seeing each other at all, but also we’re terrible at remembering anniversaries,” Hannah-Kim agrees. “And so I think even this year he was like, ‘Oh, it’s today. And I was like, ‘Oh, high five.’ "

After admitting that they “do not have a cool romantic story about” the major milestone, Roché, whoreturns as Father Renaud in1923season 2 on Feb. 23, adds some context.

“We’re really romantic with each other. I like to buy flowers when I want to buy flowers, and not on the 14th of February like everyone does here it seems,” he says. “Because I am French after all. We buy flowers.”

They had some grand plans initially. “We were going to go to Italy for our anniversary, but then we worked nonstop,” Roché says. “Sometimes you see couples who are like, ‘I organized this thing. It took me six months.’ But we are not organizers.”

Looking back on their nuptials, which took place at Chateau Les Bouysses in the south of France on May 31, 2014, Hannah-Kim recalls their “friends coming from all over the world and meeting up in the south of France” to celebrate, which was “pretty epic.”

“I have a lot of good memories of eating cheese with my high school girlfriends from Australia with [his old friends] … It was an international summit with lovely people,” she adds.

“And the venue was beautiful,” Roché notes. “It was this 13th-century castle with … the attending houses and so everyone was staying within the perimeter of the castle grounds.”

At the time, actor Oded Fehr, who officiated the wedding,told PEOPLE the venue had “picturesque rolling grape orchard hills, with a river lazily flowing between them.”

In general, the couple “don’t really have any rules” when it comes to their relationship. Instead, they “just go with the flow.”

“We’re so into it. We’ve been doing this for 11 years and so we understand the rigors of travel for the job,” Hannah-Kim says. “It’s a very symbiotic partnership, [an] artistic partnership.”
