Laci Mosleyis taking on the United States one scam at a time.

In Freeform’s brand new series,Scam Goddess,based on her book andpodcastof the same name, the comedian is taking her sense for swindles on the road. Mosley, 33, will travel around the country to bust cons both big and small: religious scammers, fake royalty, Ponzi schemes and more.

PEOPLE’sexclusive first lookat the show offers a sneak peek at Mosley’s wit and skepticism as she chats with some of the characters behind the chaos, from whistleblowers and victims to the scam artists themselves.

TheBlack Lady Sketch Showstar says her series will go beyond media discussion and even her own podcast’s coverage of scams “to visit the scenes of the crime” and paint a realistic portrayal of the way these plots unfold. “It’s an immersive experience where you find out how outlandish cons came to be,” she adds.

Mosley has already proved she’s an expert in all things fraudulent on her hit podcast. She’s hosted fellow celebrities likeConan O’BrienandKathy Griffinto speak about both high-profile and lesser-known schemes.

“I hope people can laugh, cry, and learn with me while the show unfolds, and judge others and themselves a little less in the process,” the host tells PEOPLE. “After all, we’ve all been scammed at some point because everything’s a scam, some are just better than [others].”

Scam Goddesspremieres Freeformon Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, at 10 p.m. ET and will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.
