See Thomas Rhett Tattoo Wife Lauren's Name on His Face as He Jokes 'We Need Content'

Thomas Rhettgot some new ink — at least temporarily.

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, the country starshared an Instagram Reelthat captured him getting a tattoo on his face.

As he’s getting the tattoo, the “Die a Happy Man” artist mouths the words to the chorus to his song"All the Bars Are Closed."

“After all the bars are closed, tell me where you wanna go / We can find a place to park, open a bottle in our hearts / If you want, I’ll tell you anything you wanna know /After everybody leaves, and this party’s just you and me /We don’t gotta say we’re done, we can just wait up for the sun /We still got a lot of good night left to go / After all the bars are closed,” he sings, delivering a wink toward the end of the track.

“They said we needed content…' Thomas Rhett captioned the post, nodding to the notion that the tattoo isn’t real.

“What do we think@teddyswims@postmalone@jellyroll615?” Thomas Rhett quipped.

Thomas Rhett released his most recent albumAbout a Womanin August 2024, which he began working in early 2023. At the time, he realized he wanted to make a record his family — and fanbase — couldn’t resist dancing to.

“It was just like, man, my last couple albums, there’d be so many songs that my kids wanted to skip or that my wife wanted to skip,“he told PEOPLE exclusively.“I don’t really know the reason why except that it didn’t make them want to dance. I really wanted to make sure that my wife and kids felt like this was one that put a smile on their face and has really made ‘em want to move.”

After he had written several songs, Thomas Rhett realized they were all about his wife.

“Every single one of these tracks is about my relationship with my wife from all over the spectrum,” he said. “There’s a couple from being 16 and a couple from being 19 and a couple from being 25 and a couple from being where we are now. And there’s also a couple that are very future-leaning kind of love songs.”

Thomas Rhett and Akins —who wed in 2012— are parents to four daughters:Willa Gray, 9,Ada James, 6,Lennon Love, 5, andLillie Carolina, 3.
