Selena Gomez Says She's 'Not Sure' Where Benny Blanco Romance Is Going. Stephen Colbert Has a Dad-Like Warning for Him

Selena Gomez’s boyfriend should consider himself warned.

Colbert, 60, asked Gomez, 32, about herThanksgiving, which she spent with Blanco, 36. “I watched my boyfriend cook everything,” she said while he pulled out a picture of them in their house with him enveloping her in a hug.

The talk show host said that the music producer seems to like Gomez a lot. “If you don’t mind me asking, where is this relationship going?” he then asked.

Colbert then addressed the camera, jokingly issuing Blanco a warning. “Benny? You must think you’re pretty special if you think you can do better than this, okay?” Colbert said. “And as America’s dad, I want to know what your intentions are with America’s daughter, right over here.”

He added, “You’re welcome.”

Gomez and Blancobegan dating in mid-2023andwent Instagram official in January 2024.

An insider told PEOPLE at the time that Gomez was “really happy and present” in their relationship. “She seems to be really feeling herself at the moment,” the source said, adding, “Maybe that’s Benny or maybe that’s just where she’s at personally and professionally.”

Blanco exclusively told PEOPLEin November about his favorite part of the day is when he spends mornings with Gomez. “I’m a real morning person. It’s my favorite time to spend with Sel, because we both wake up really early. It’s like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up,” he said.

“I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life,” Blanco continued.
