San Antonio Spurs starVictor Wembanyamaisn’t happy about seeing the jersey he gave to a young fan end up on an resale website.

Wembanyama, 21, reshared the post on X that showed his game-worn jersey up for sale — with bids starting at $10,000 — and reacted with a crying face emoji on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

“So slimy,” NBA insider Kevin O’Connerrepliedto Wembanyama’s post. “The jersey swap pic is still legendary tho,” he added, referring to the viral moment when the Spurs star swapped his jersey with a tiny fan.

The sale’s description even describes the jersey as the one 7-foot-3 Wembanyama gave to the fan on that date, with the Spurs star’s stats from the game listed in the title.

“Sometimes, the easiest way to get something is to ask, but it seems as if this simple truth is often forgotten due to the fear of rejection,” the jersey’s description reads on Goldin’s auctionwebsite. “Sure, rejection is a possibility, but so too is the possibility of getting exactly what you want.”
