Tay Lautner Shares Results of Her Fertility Test and How It Gave Her ‘Peace of Mind’ in Her Motherhood Journey

Tay Lautneris sharing an update on her fertility journey.

On the Wednesday, Jan. 29 episode ofThe Squeeze,the podcastshe cohosts with husbandTaylor Lautner, 32, Tay, 27, revealed she’s “in the clear” after a recent visit with her gynecologist. The fertility check-in was prompted after OBGYN Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and women’s health advocate Mary Alice Haney appeared as guests on the podcasta few months ago.

“[Aliabadi] was a little concerned for me because I’ve been on birth control for 10 years and never taken a break. And she was like, you could, like, not have any eggs right now,” she shared, before continuing, “We’re in the clear. I got a lot of eggs.”

Tay, whomarried Taylor in November 2022, also admitted she used to worry that she wouldn’t be able to have a child. Believing the thought stems from the fact that she is an only child, Tay admitted she put that thought in her mind as a child.

“Then, it just grew with me as I got older,” she said. Tay said she believes a lot of women struggle withthe fear of not being able to carry childrenbecause of the pressure placed on them. She added, “I think a lot of women struggle with that because it’s always our fault, if we can’t get pregnant. Like, that’s on it’s on us.”

The couple met while theTwilightactorwas on a hiatus from acting. The pair met through Taylor’s sisterMakena Moore.

“I wanted to take a step back and enjoy life and spend some time with my family and friends,” he told PEOPLE in January 2022. “And I met my fiancée out of it, soit all worked out.”

The couple went public with their relationship in 2018 and theTwilightactor proposed three years later. Lautner shared the newson Instagramwith photos of the special moment captioned, “And just like that, all of my wishes came true,” he wrote.
