Taylor Swift’s daringly sexy look for the 2025Grammyswas not without Easter eggs.
On Feb. 2, the “Cruel Summer” singer, 35, commanded the red carpet in a surprisingly sexy look that was not only fitting for the biggest night in music but also, perhaps, cheering on her NFL pro boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight endTravis Kelce.
The ensemble appeared to include hidden messages nodding at her genre-bending albums. Let’s start with a throwback.
The bold red hue of Swift’smicro Vivienne Westwood corset dressmay have been a nod toRed, which she revisited when she announced aTaylor’s Versionof the record in 2021. Did the catchy lyrics, “Loving him was red,” replay in anyone else’s head as soon as she hit the star-studded event?

Swift’s 2022 hit “Maroon” also seemed completely aligned with Swift’s Lorraine Schwartz gemstones pointing to the lyrics, “I feel you no matter what/ The rubies that I gave up.”
But those who’ve been following Kelce and Swift’s love story, which became public in 2023, might also think the sweet accessory was “So High School.” Many pointed out on the internet that the accessory mirrored the fictional romance between Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) in theHigh School Musicalmovies. (The famous Troy necklace still lives on our heads rent free.)

At the same time, the letter could also signify “Guilty as Sin?” offThe Tortured Poets Department,in which Swift croons,“What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh/ Only in my mind?”
Both songs would indicate that Swift not only intentionally referenced herself, but also nodded to Travis, who wasabsent from the Grammys. He and the Chiefs, who will play against the Philadelphia Eagles for the Lombardi Trophy again on Feb. 9, landed in New Orleans for the Super Bowl before Swift even walked the carpet in Los Angeles.
Swift’s glam of course featured her signature red lipstick, which is immortalized in her hit “Style"with the lyric: “I got that red lip classic thing that you like.” The songs “End Game,” “Wildest Dreams,” “Blank Space,” and “I Did Something Bad” also mention the star’ssignature lip look.
