Comedian Nick Mohammed’s recent announcement has someTed Lassofans excited.
“I know there’ll be a lot of speculation as to why we moved these dates, you know what is it for? I’ll be honest, it is for some filming that I’ve not been able to shift for love [not] money,” the actor and comedian said.
“I cannot say what that filming is. But it will be announced shortly,” he added.
Despite his words, fans shared their suspicions about the project being connected to theJason Sudeikis-led comedy, as Mohammed hashtagged “Ted Lasso” in the caption for his video and even held up a hand-painted “Believe” sign — similar to the one that appears on the show courtesy of the main character, Ted Lasso.
“In the meantime, I would really appreciate [it] if people just didn’t speculate as to what they think [the project] might be,” Mohammed joked in the video, while briefly holding up the sign. “Alright? Okay? Because the last thing I want is for people to be going mad.”
One fan commented, “‘Please don’t speculate’ Holds Believe sign and includes #tedlasso in the caption 😂,” while another said, “Peep the believe sign though 👀.” Another fan added, “Do NOT tease like this!!!!! 😭😭😭.”
While discussing the video on the Tuesday, Jan. 21 episode of theTodayshow, co-host Savannah Guthrie speculated that Mohammed could be filming aTed Lasso-themed Super Bowl commercial.
