Maci Bookout McKinneyandRyan Edwardscan share some laughs at this point in their co-parenting journey.

The four carpool on the way there, during which Ryan jokes, “Maci, this is what I want to know, are you going to let him run wild like you did at 16?”

“Oh God,” Amanda laughs.

On the ride back, Amanda and Maci talk about how much Bentley will like the car. Amanda says, “I think he will appreciate the fact that y’all came together to get it, like co-parented. I think he’ll be very appreciative of it. Everything he’s been through, I just think that’s very meaningful to us.”

“I agree. Look at us being grown-ups,” Maci says.

“Ryan and I are veryexcited about our pregnancy. We have overcome so much in the last year and a half, and we are in a very happy, safe place,” Conner exclusively told PEOPLE in a statement.

“For me, I can enjoy this pregnancy and I have a second chance at motherhood. For Ryan, he is in a place that he hasn’t been in for a long time. We are excited to move forward from our past mistakes. We have a great support system with family and friends, and they are very happy for this new chapter of our lives.”
