“We take this matter very seriously and are conducting a thorough investigation to understand the circumstances and ensure appropriate actions are taken,” the district, which did not identify the teacher, added in their statement. “As per district protocol, the employee will not be on campus during the investigation.”
“I have many students that don’t even speak English,” read the post. “They have to communicate through their iPhone translator with me.”
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we address this matter,” they added.
“They are aware and assured me that FWISD is taking this matter very seriously and is investigating,” Flores added. “As the post espouses views concerning our students and their families, I will personally stay informed and share information with our community as it becomes available.”
On Sunday, Jan. 26, amid a series of protests regarding Trump’s policies, those in Fort Worth said they were scared, according to ABC affiliateWFAA.
“They say they want criminals, but they come to our schools,” Fort Worth ISD student Angel Sanchez told the outlet. “We just want a better education. That’s the main reason why our parents came here in the first place.”

Speaking with CBS News Texas, one counselor said that some students did not come to school on Monday.
“I know this little girl, she’s a teenager, she’s about 16,” said Fernando Raga. “And she hasn’t wanted to come out of her house … They come to school to get a better life. And now they don’t want to do that because they’re afraid.”
