The premiere ofThe Handmaid’s Tale’sfinal season is growing closer.

Series starsO.T. FagbenleandAmanda Brugelannounced that the sixth and final season has wrapped production.

Fagbenle, who stars as Luke, shared behind-the-scenes photos as anInstagramcarousel on Monday, Feb. 10. His post included pictures alongside his costarsElisabeth Moss,Yvonne Strahovski,Bradley Whitford,Max Minghella,Ann Dowd,Samira Wiley, Madeline Brewer and Brugel, 46.

“THATS A WRAP on the final season of Handmaids! It’s coming soon! Any predictions,” he simply captioned the post.

Brugel, who stars as Rita on the Hulu series, posted anInstagram Reelon Tuesday, Feb. 4, with a series of photos and clips from the set, as cast and crew members have fun behind the scenes — and everyone’s separate dance moves.

“Decades from now, should you ask me what I remember of you, I will recount my very own liberation from a life that did not serve me. And the laughter. And holding hands with Margaret,” she wrote, referring to the source novel’s author,Margaret Atwood.

“But most of all, without fail, I shall remember the dancing," she continued. “That’s how love goes. #serieswrap.”

The series is based on Atwood’s novel of the same name and premiered in 2017. It chronicles America in a dystopian future after a second American Civil War when women are assigned to men to bear children for their wives.

The series garneredtwo Golden Globes, 15 Emmys and countless nominations over the first five seasons.

“It definitely has final-season energy,” Moss, 42, said. “[It] goes to many different places, and it is very, very surprising all the way through.”

Creator and showrunnerBruce Millerexplained in a November 2022 conversation withDigitalSpythat he wanted to extend the novel’s narrative beyond its abrupt ending.

“Everybody’s like, ‘Who do you think you are, writing more?’ I’m like, ‘Oh my God, it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do, to write the rest.’ Because it’s like: what the hell happened?! Oh my God — it’s the most infuriating ending,” he told the outlet.

“It’s something we never get with just the way the business is set up,” he said. “And also, more importantly, not something everyone would give to the audience.”

While Miller said the series will conclude on their “own terms,” he is not serving as showrunner on the final season, instead staying on as an executive producer and writer.Varietyreported in March 2023, that Miller turned his focus to the series’ spinoff,The Testaments.
