Another iteration ofThe Perfect Coupleis coming your way!

Though it has yet to be greenlit,Varietyreports that Netflix is working on developing a second season of the hit mystery thriller. The next installment will be based onElin Hilderbrand’s novel,Swan Song, with the streamer planning to turn the series into an anthology.

PEOPLE has reached out to Netflix for comment.

The Perfect CoupleandSwan Songboth take place in Nantucket, but the latter follows the mysterious Richardson family.

“The Richardsons throw lavish parties, flirt with multiple locals, flaunt their wealth with not one but two yachts, and raise impossible hopes of everyone they meet,” the synopsis continues. “When their house burns to the ground and their most essential employee goes missing, the entire island is up in arms.”

PerVariety, Kidman will return as an executive producer alongside Per Saari, Gail Berman, Shawn Levy, Susanne Bier and Hend Baghdady. Joanna Calo will also executive produce in addition to writing and show running the new season.

During an appearance on Hilderbrand and Tim Ehrenberg’s podcast,Books, Beach, and Beyond, in September 2024, Kidman opened up about how much she enjoyed working with the star-studded cast.

“I love working in an ensemble because you have so many different characters on set and watching everybody and getting to know everyone,” she gushed. “I just spoke to Dakota the other day going, ‘You’re so good at this.’ And Liev, but also Eve is just such a delight … I think she’s just so intoxicating.”

“You’re all working together as an acting troupe,” she added. “And that’s the thing I love most.”
