One of Del’s accessories was a personal touch just for Clarke. “The bow headpiece was not only era-appropriate but it was also a fun little nod to my own wedding dress when I got married,” she admits.

And They Will AgainJulia Tomasone and Jordan Doww in The Way Home.Hallmark Media/Photographer: Peter Stranks"Fun fact: The arbor that Colton and Del get married under is a bit of an Easter egg for our most avid fans," says Clarke. “It’s standing in the exact same place where the iconic outdoor dining pergola is built in the 1999 version of the farm (a setting for many a family dinner during that time). We basically wanted to say that a young Colton and Del put this little arbor up for their wedding and they loved it so much that they built a more permanent version in that very spot once they had a family. That’s what it’s all about on our show, after all!”

To know that her memories are hers, to know that she wasn’t wrong, that she shouldn’t doubt their love. It was exactly as she remembered it.”

In the end, the wedding really is a great combination of champagne style on a beer budget.”
