The White Lotus' Aimee Lou Wood Recalls Becoming 'Addicted to the Fresh Coconuts' During Filming in Thailand (Exclusive)

Aimee Lou Woodhad a lovely bunch ofcoconutswhile filmingseason threeofThe White Lotus.

At the premiere of the show at the Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on Feb. 10, the actress, 30, recalled how she became “addicted” to the fruit amidproduction in Thailand.

“I got addicted to the fresh coconuts, and it turns out that they’re very, very, very, very inexpensive on the beach, but I was obviously ordering them at theFour Seasons, and because they had the Four Seasons stamp on them, they cost [a lot of money],” Wood told PEOPLE exclusively.

Then detailing thatHBO, which produces the popular series, “gave us some spending” to utilize while shooting, Wood added, “I absolutely exceeded that.”

Each season ofThe White Lotushas seen a (mostly) new group of guests check into an entirely different White Lotus resort. The first season was set in Hawaii and the second took place in Sicily.

Wood — whose previous projects include Sex Education, LivingandSeize Them!— stars intheaward-winning anthology seriesas Chelsea, a “free-spirit” who is on vacation with her “on-edge” older boyfriend, Rick, according to a press release.

Others in the cast includePatrick Schwarzenegger,Michelle Monaghan,Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb andWalton Goggins, as well asNatasha Rothwell, who is reprising her season 1 role as spa manager Belinda Lindsey.

Wood told PEOPLE that this season ofThe White Lotusis “very much about greed and pride and hubris and ego,” as she explained that her character’s “just free of all that,” adding, “Chelsea is just in her experiences.”

Season 3 ofThe White Lotuspremieres Sunday, Feb 16 at 9 p.m. EST on Max.
