Tiffani Thiessen Says Her Husband ‘Had Never Watched’Saved by the BellWhen They First Met (Exclusive)

The actress, 51, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview about her partnership withIsopurethat her husbandBrady Smithhad never seen an episode of the primetime series that aired from 1989 to 1993.

When asked if he was familiar with the show before they met, Thiessen says, “Not in the least. He had never watched the show. Not one episode.”

She adds that Smith “had no idea” that she played the beloved character.

“He had heard of the show,” Thiessen continues, “but he had never watched it. Isn’t that funny?”

Now a busy mom of two, Thiessen has traded in Kelly’s signature off-the-shoulder Bayside sweatshirt for a package of protein powder. Talking about her latest recipe for Isopure,carrot morning muffins, she says it’s “one of those recipes that you can do all the time.”

“It’s great for kids and family,” the actress notes. “You can freeze them, so they’re great to make ahead. They’re so easy and versatile – whether you have them in the morning or as a snack for later. They’re so easy.”

Her on-screen love,Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who played Kelly’s love interest and eventual husband Zack Morris, shared a similar story during a January appearance onThe Jennifer Hudson Show.

He said that his wife, advertising executiveCatriona McGinn, hadno idea what he did for a livingwhen they met.

“She knew my costar on another show — on a show that I was on, it was calledRaising the Bar, and she knew one of the costars,” Gosselaar said. “And she didn’t even know that I was on the show ‘cause her friend was on the show. She was like, ‘Yeah, you were in the way. I was, like, fast-forwarding to see my friend and you just happened to be the guy that was on a lot.' "

“So, she had no idea that you were, like,everybody’s crush?” host Jennifer Hudson asked in shock.

Gosselaar joked, “I wasn’thercrush.”
