TodayShow hosts celebrated meteorologist ​​Dylan Dreyer’s exciting announcement during the morning show Monday, Jan. 7.

Through rain and shine, the children’s author and mother of three continues herMisty The Cloudseries with her newest weather-inspired flap book additionA Peek Out Your Window: My First Book of Weather.

“This is like the one I’m most proud of,” theNew York Timesbestselling author announced to her cohosts on themorning show. “Because when I first started here, Al, what do you say? Here’s what’s happening in your neck of the woods. I had to come up with a phrase,”  Dreyer explained.

Dreyer, who has three boys — Calvin, 7, Oliver, 5, and Rusty 2 — with her husbandBrian Fichera, said the inspiration for her newest release came close to home.

“What do [kids] love more than anything is a lift-the-flap book?” the author said. “What perfect flap to lift than like a curtain and something covering a window.”

Hoda Kotbchimed in with “a window,” while the rest of the cast verbally admired Dreyer’s presentation of the interactive children’s book.

The purpose of the weather-themed book is to introduce children to weather in a fun way and getting “kids used to looking outside,” Dreyer said.

Feature anchorCarson Dalyplayfully interrupted asking for a spoiler, “What happens at the end of the book? What happens to Misty?”

Dreyer said she reads the book to her sons before bed at night, asking them what they see. “They’re like, ‘It’s dark,’ ‘I’m like, I need to read this during the day time.'”

A Peek Out Your WindowisDreyer’s fifth book since 2021.

The busy mom of three recently took to Instagram to document her second child, Oliver’s Bluey-themed birthday party.

Dreyer wrote on Instagram, “It’s an Ollie-Day! Happy Birthday to my sweet little guy who snuggles like no one else and loves getting lost in his own little world. I’d love to spend a day in your brain. I can’t believe you’re 5!! I love you so much!!”
