Tori SpellingandDean McDermottare celebrating their oldest on his special day.

The former couple both shared messages on Instagram for their son Liam as they celebrated his 18th birthday, taking a minute to reflect on how much their son has grown up. Spelling, 51, shared a series of photos of Liam throughout the years, beginning with a selfie of herself and the teenager, who sported red hair.

“It’s official my 1st born is an adult…” Spelling beganher lengthy caption. “They say don’t blink because they grow but no one prepares you for how fast it goes. 18 years ago today my beautiful Liam Aaron McDermott aka Monkey made me a mama.”

“It’s a hefty weight being the oldest of five. A lot of responsibility that you’ve proven over and over to take on gallantly,” Spelling wrote. “The way you’ve stepped in to protect me emotionally shows how love has no boundaries.”

At the end of her caption, Spelling told her son how much she loved him and to “continue being you.”

McDermott and Spelling share five kids together — Beau, 8, Finn, 12, Hattie, 13, Stella, 16, and Liam.

After nearly two decades together, McDermottannounced his split from Spellingin a now-deleted post on Instagram in June 2023, with Spelling officiallyfiling for divorcein March 2024.

“It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways and start a new journey of our own,” he wrote. “We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time.”
