Tyga's Mom Pasionaye Nicole Nguyen Dies at 53: 'Can't Imagine Life Without You by My Side'

Tyga’s mother, Pasionaye Nicole Nguyen, has died. She was 53.

The rapper shared atouching Instagram tributeon Friday, Feb. 21, a month after she died on Jan. 18.

“I been trying to understand and process why God takes the most meaningful and most beautifulest people away from us,” Tyga, 35, began his post. “But I know I’ll never get an answer that will fill the emptiness in my heart.💔.”

Tyga continued, “I can’t wait for the day until we’re together again🕊️🕊️🕊️ I’ll see you soon and save me a spot right next to you in paradise💜.”

“I Love you forever mom and I’ll do my best to celebrate you with every moment that I have left.💔🥹.” Tyga signed off his tribute with his mother’s full name, birth and death dates, and one last thought.

“Pasionaye Nicole Nguyen 9/11/71- 1/18/25 👸🏽🫀🌎. You took one of your best angels back GOD. I hope you know that.🪽🙏🏽🕊️🫀💔”

Tyga, whose full name is Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, included pictures of him and his mom throughout the years in his post along with a video of her posing with a new Chanel bag and a clip of a birthday celebration.

The final slide was a video of Pasionaye listening to a voicemail she left Tyga that he put in his 2012 song “Black Crowns” on the albumCareless World: Rise of the Last King. In the clip, she gets emotional, fanning her eyes from crying.

“Just wanted to call to let you know how proud I am of you sweetie,” she says in the recorded voice message. “This album is amazing. I have never imagined that God would bless you so much as he is going to continue to bless you. He’s already made you the king that you are only one to wear the black crown.”

In 2016, Tyga told Hollywood Today about his upbringing when talking about how he managed his relationships with his ex-girlfriend, her boyfriend, his current girlfriend and sonKing Cairo.

“My main focus and goal is to make sure my son has the best upbringing," Tyga said at the time viaRefinery29. “I feel like once you’re an adult people make their own decisions. Sometimes you can’t put your faith in people because you’ll always be let down. So I just stay focused and stay concerned about him.”

“When I was growing up, I didn’t know about the problems my mom had,” he added. “She always made sure that I was good, I was happy.”
