Vanessa Morganstill feels really connected to herRiverdalegirls.
The actress, 32, played Toni Topaz on the CW hit series for six years and she tells PEOPLE the show “will always have such a special place in my heart.”
“And now we have such busy lives, and I live in a different country,” she says, as she’s still based in Vancouver, where the show was filmed, while most of her costars returned to the U.S. “So that’s the hardest part.”

They’re all still keeping in touch though. “We have a big group chat,” she says of the cast, which includedKJ Apa,Cole Sprouse,Camila Mendes,Lili ReinhartandMadelaine Petsch. “And then we have, obviously, the separate ones.”
As for who she talks to the most these days, Morgan says, “I probably keep in touch with Mads — Madelaine Petsch — the most, and Lili and Cami.”
In fact, during a recent visit to L.A., she says she saw Petsch, 30, and Mendes, 30, — and they met someone special. “I saw Mads and Cami in L.A. andthey met Kaia, my daughter, for the first time, which was really nice.”

Morgan is now starring in the CW’sWild CardsalongsideGiacomo GianniottiandJason Priestleyas con woman Max. It’s a role that she says is “one of my favorite characters I’ve ever played.”
“She just manifests this amazingly beautiful life for herself that’s chaotic, but also everything always works out for her,” Morgan says. “And I just love that.”
