After the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in New Orleans, Santa Clara, Calif. will host Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in 2026. Super Bowl LXI will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. in 2027.

Levi’s Stadium is home to the San Francisco 49ers and SoFi Stadium is home to both Los Angeles teams, the Chargers and the Rams. The NFL selected the venues inMay 2023andDecember 2023, respectively.

Levi’s Stadium will host the event for the second time after hosting Super Bowl 50 in 2016. It will be the third time the Super Bowl has been held in the Bay Area. The first-ever Bay Area Super Bowl was in 1985 for Super Bowl XIX at Stanford Stadium — when the 49ers earned their second Super Bowl championship title.

SoFi Stadium hosted the 2022 championship. Los Angeles also hosted Super Bowls in 1967, 1973, 1977, 1980, 1983, 1987 and 1993. San Diego, the Chargers' previous home, hosted the Super Bowl in 1988, 1998 and 2003.

By 2027, California will have hosted 15 times. It will be the second state to host the most, following Florida at 17 — with 11 times in Miami, five in Tampa and one in Jacksonville.

California isn’t the first state to host back-to-back Super Bowls. Florida hosted in 2020 and 2021, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., and Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, respectively.
