Jameis Winstonmay be the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, but he has an even more special person backing him: his wife, Breion Winston.

The athlete and Breion have been together since high school, having both grown up as athletes in Alabama. In June 2018, they welcomed their first child, Malachi, before getting married in an intimate ceremony in March 2020. They welcomed their second son, Taurus, later that year in December.

In asweet Mother’s Day tributein May 2024, Jameis shared a carousel of photos of Breion with their sons, calling her a “blessing” to their family.

“Your commitment and sacrifice for this family is unmatched!” he wrote. “You are truly the woman, wife and mother that I don’t even believe I could have even dreamed of.”

They were high school sweethearts

Jameis and Breion have been together since they were student athletes in high school. Breion played basketball for Hoover High School in Hoover, Ala., while Jameis was a football star at Hueytown High School in Hueytown, Ala.

Both towns are suburbs of Birmingham, Ala., and the two began dating while they were still teenagers. In February 2021, Jameis celebrated his and Breion’s 10-year anniversary onInstagram, calling them “high school sweethearts.”

“The most unforgettable decade of my life so far!” he wrote in the caption. “Growing, learning, and persevering with you for 10 years now @breionnicole_ !”

She played basketball in college

After graduating from high school in 2012, Breion went on to play basketball at Rice University, while Jameis continued his football career at Florida State University.

Breion and Jameis got married during the COVID-19 pandemic

Jameis proposed to Breion in May 2018 when she was 8 months pregnant with their first son. Two years later, the pair got married — but their wedding had to have some last-minute changes amid the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jameis and Breion tied the knot on March 27, 2020, at their home in Odessa, Fla., in “a week when nothing was going as planned,” Breion wrote onInstagrama week after the nuptials.

“Our initial wedding had just been postponed and I was in a funk,” she wrote. “But @jaboowins3 came through and put together a beautiful intimate ceremony in the privacy of our own home. And it seemed it was meant to be this way all along…”

They share two sons together

On June 29, 2018, Breion and Jameis welcomed their first child, Antonor Malachi Winston, together. Two and a half years later, their second son, Taurus Allen Winston, joined the family on Dec. 31, 2020.

The couple have since praised each other’s parenting, posting sweet tributes to one another on Mother’s and Father’s Day through the years.

“Happy Father’s Day babe, your intentionality and love for us is unequivocally unmatched,” Breion wrote onInstagramin June 2023. “We (ME) are forever grateful for you. Love you for life ♥️.”

She’s supportive of her husband’s career

After Jameis joined the Cleveland Browns in 2024, Breion showed her support, rooting for him at games — including one snowy Nov. 22 match.
