Kelly Reilly’sYellowstonecharacter, Beth Dutton, may be very open about her relationship with Rip Wheeler, but the actress is known for keeping her real-life romance with her husband, Kyle Baugher, on the down low.

The British actress met Baugher at a wedding in Texas and had a long-distance relationship before marrying in 2012.

“I live between my house on the borders of Sussex and Surrey and New York, where my boyfriend lives,” the actress toldThe Guardianin 2011. “I’m not saying any more about him except that he’s not an actor, not in the business. I spend a lot of time across the pond. I spend a lot of my time on aeroplanes. I’m probably going to do the move soon. I’d like my life to be in one place.”

A few years later, in 2015, Reilly briefly spoke about her husband while promoting her playOld Times.

“I hadn’t done a play in eight years. I was doing play after play after play in London, and I couldn’t manage a great personal life and do a play,” she told theEvening Standard. “Now, I’m married and happy and content so I thought it was time to see if I could get that balance back.”

In a February 2025 interview withTown & Country, Reilly said that she considers her and Baugher’s home one of her safe places, especially amid the drama and “noise” that starring on a show likeYellowstonecan bring.

“The only safe place for me is in the work — and then home with my husband. Very boring," she said. “It can become a cyclone of bulls— and fakeness, and I know I won’t find my worth in that.”

Per hisLinkedIn profile, Baugher, who is originally from Long Island, N.Y., attended Princeton University from 1998 through 2002, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history.

He also played lacrosse in high school and at Princeton. In a 2002 article posted to the university’sathletics page, he spoke about switching from offense to defense when he went to college.

Baugher’s lacrosse coach, Bill Tierney, also sang his praises, saying that Baugher was the team’s “MVP” who was “so good at what he does” that he’d “go down in Princeton lacrosse history.”

He is now a financier.

He and Reilly met at a wedding in Texas

In November 2024, Reilly appeared onThe Drew Barrymore Showand revealed how she and Baugher first met.

“We met at his brother’s wedding in Marfa, Texas,” she said, explaining that she was a girlfriend’s plus-one to the nuptials. “I thought he was Texan … he’s from Long Island. He’s the love of my life. The most beautiful thing that’s ever happened to me is my marriage.”

On their 11th anniversary in 2023, Reilly posted asweet, subtle tribute to her husbandon Instagram. The carousel showed views of the desert in Utah but did not include a photo of Baugher.

Reilly often posts photos of her schnauzer dog on Instagram. In September 2018, she shared a rare snap ofBaugher giving the pup a loving lookduring a hike.

She began the post’s caption with a John Muir quote, writing, “The mountains are calling and I must go,” before adding, “Out west again with my loves.”

He doesn’t have a social media presence

While Baugher himself doesn’t have a public social media presence, Reilly will occasionally share sweet snaps of the couple on her Instagram account.
