Who Is Performing at the 2025 Super Bowl? All the Stars Taking the Stage on Football’s Biggest Night

Technically, theSuper Bowlis football’s biggest night — but the musical lineup is often just as anticipated as the game itself.

While fans of theKansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagleswill tune in for the Feb. 9 game at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans to cheer on their respective teams, so will fans ofKendrick Lamar. In September 2024, the22-time Grammy-winningrapperposted a YouTube videoannouncing he would take center stage for the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

“My name is Kendrick Lamar, and I’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX,” thePulitzer Prize winnersaid in the video, which featured him running a football passing machine while coaching a player off-screen. “You know there’s only one opportunity to win a championship. No round tools. Let’s get it.”

This will be, however, Lamar’s second time on the halftime stage. In 2022, he made a cameo duringDr. Dre’s show at Super Bowl LVI along withEminem,Snoop Dogg,50 CentandMary J. Blige.

But, the “Not Like Us” rapper isn’t the only big name at the big game. Other famous artists will perform “America the Beautiful” and two versions of the national anthem before the Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday.

In addition to his musical contributions toLate Night, Batiste has also co-composed the score for films likeSaturday Nightand Pixar’sSoul, which won anAcademy Award, aGolden Globeand aGrammy. His personal life was the subject of the 2023 Netflix documentaryAmerican Symphony, which chronicled his attempt to compose a show while his wife, author and journalist Suleika Jaouad, was undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer.

Batiste follows in the footsteps ofReba McEntire, who sang the national anthem atSuper Bowl LVIIIin 2024.

Trombone Shortywill perform “America the Beautiful” alongside Christian music singerLauren Daigleduring the pre-game show.

Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty’s roots run deep in New Orleans as he performed at the city’s iconic Jazz Fest with Bo Diddly when he was just 4 years old. The Grammy winner has released five albums and toured with big names likeLenny Kravitz, theRed Hot Chili Peppersand theFoo Fighters. Trombone Shorty has also collaborated with Batiste on his albumWe Are.

Daigle also hails from Louisiana, where she got her start auditioning forAmerican Idolin 2010 and 2012. The “You Say” singer has since won multiple Grammys and was the first female artist to reach the top 10 onBillboard’s pop and Christian album charts simultaneously.

In 2024,Post Maloneperformedan acoustic versionof “America the Beautiful” during the pre-game telecast for Super Bowl LVIII.

Who is performing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the 2025 Super Bowl?

Grammy-winning R&B singerLedisiwill conclude the pre-game performances with “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” a hymn often referred to as the Black national anthem.

Outside of her acclaimed jazz and R&B albums, the New Orleans native is also known for her acting credits. She portrayed gospel iconMahalia Jacksontwice — in the 2014 biopicSelmaand the 2022 musical dramaRemember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story— andPatti LaBellein the BET docudramaAmerican Soul.

Kendrick Lamar is headliningthe Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. The performance is fitting for what’s already been a successful year for the rapper, who took home the 2025 Grammy for record of the year for his hit track “Not Like Us.” In 2024, that rap anthem and two of his other viral singles, “Like That” (withFutureand Metro Boomin) and “Squabble Up,” scored No. 1 on theBillboardHot 100.

“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date,” Lamar said in a statement following his Super Bowl announcement. “And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”

In January 2025, theMr. Morale & the Big Steppersrapperannounced that SZAwould be joining him onstage as a guest performer. The collaboration comes as no surprise, considering that the two artists are about to embark on a U.S. stadium tour starting in April 2025.SZAand Lamar also earned multiple nominations for their 2018 song “All the Stars,” featured on theBlack Panthersoundtrack.
