Rosebud Baker is laughing through life with her husband, Andy Haynes.

The stand-up comedian, whose Netflix specialRosebud Baker: The Mother Lodepremiered on Feb. 18, first met the fellow comic in 2017. They wed in September 2020 and welcomed their daughter Minnow in October 2023.

During a joint interview with Baker on theFor Worsepodcast, the couple opened up about how they balance both their careers and married lives. Haynes shared that after working with agents and managers to land various projects throughout his two-decade-long career, he’s doing it solo now, which takes effort.

“I still get to headline awesome comedy clubs and stuff, but I do it on my own," he said. “So that’s the adjustment, and … I think the hardest thing in our marriage.”

For her part, Baker explained that she tries to give him that space. “I know that it’s really important as comics, you gotta get out, you gotta have an hour, to have that time,” she added.

Haynes was born on July 11, 1982, and is originally from Seattle. He attended Western Washington University and graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in socio-religious studies, according tohis LinkedIn.

Over the years, Baker has given some insight into what it’s like being in the same field as her husband, including howthey handle overlapping materialduring their sets.

“There’s been jokes where I’m like, ‘That’s a little close to something I did,’ or I’ve done something where he’s like, ‘That’s a little close to my bit,’ and I’m like, ‘Okay, got it,’ ” she explained to hostHeather McMahanon a 2023 episode of theAbsolutely Notpodcast.

He met Baker at a bar

After Haynes relocated back to New York City from Los Angeles, he met Baker on New Year’s Eve in 2017 at Bar Matchless in Brooklyn.

He approached Baker and said, “Hi, I’m Andy, I’m a comic and I’m sober too.” (Baker has spoken abouther sobriety journeyandso has Haynes.)

As the coupleexplained on their wedding website, Baker “decided he probably wasn’t very fun to hang out with,” but was eventually proven wrong.

Afterbumping into each other againa few months later, they became fast friends and began dating in October 2019.

He proposed to Baker in 2020

Haynes proposed to Baker on March 16, 2020, a few days after the pandemic began impacting the U.S.

According to their wedding website, the pair were watchingEternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mindwhen he popped the question with Baker’s grandmother Mimi’s ring, which was hidden inside a to-go food container.

They announced the engagement news the following dayon Instagramwith a selfie.

He hosted a podcast with Baker

After unexpectedly going into quarantine together during the pandemic in mid-March 2020, Baker and Haynes launched a daily podcast,Find Your Beach.

“We usually live in New York,” Baker toldThe Washington Postfrom an L.A. condo, which they were subletting at the time. “I was about two weeks into shooting a show for Netflix that I can’t talk about, and Andy was shooting a different show, and they both got shut down.”

They recorded and released new episodes ofFind Your Beachdaily until April 2020 before switching to a weekly schedule. Their last episode was released in August 2022.

He married Baker in 2020

The couple tied the knot on Sept. 15, 2020, under the arch in New York City’s Washington Square Park.

They had originally planned to get married at City Hall, “with a big party to follow, with all of our extended family and friends all over the country,” the couple wrote on their wedding website. However, they “weren’t able to do that” due to the pandemic.

He shares a daughter with Baker

On Oct. 3, 2023, the couple welcomed their daughter, Minnow.

Haynes celebrated their daughter’s first birthday with a series of photos and videosposted on Instagram, along with a sweet caption.

“One year of Minnow. I can’t believe how much I love you,” he wrote. “Absolutely ruined me I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, I might not have taken you to Florida.”

He also gave Baker a shout-out. “Thank you @rosebudbaker for making me a dad. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” Haynes added.
